Firstly, apologies for the lack of site updates. Some problems behind the scenes have meant a couple of us have been working hard to rectify it all. Happily, I can now say we're pretty much back to normal so look forward to continual updates over the Winter.
Secondly, the clubs annual tour this year to Southend was a resounding success. The 10 who undertook it were a shining credit to the club and made themselves extremely popular with several Southend Publicans over the course of the weekend as well as finishing off the season on a real high note in chasing down a season's best of 253 to win the game off the last ball. Some cryptic tour details can be found on the forum - of course, what goes on tour should stay on tour but I've no doubt that some stories of what was a top weekend will leak out over the next few months.
Thirdly, attention now turns towards the equally entertaining Presentation Dinner this year held on the 21st of October at Bawburgh Golf club. Tickets will be the usual price of £20 per head and include 3 course carvery meal, disco, coach to and from the event and all the trophies... plus of course for the 1st time in a long time, 2 captains speeches which are always entertaining.
More details for club members can be found on the forum and all should be contacted in the next couple of weeks. Do try and attend, it really is always a top evening and a great way to end the season and start looking forward to the next.
